SEX SELLS...but it doesn't help our economy.

So Trey Songz blew up last summer simply by being transparent. He stepped out of the pretty boy, make-you-wonder what exactly he doing while he's gettin it on in the "last time" video persona to the strictly exemplary sex-attic persona. Sales boomed for him. Now you'll find Chris Brown, Ciarra and others attempting to mimic his strategy with hopes to mimic his success. In the spirit of competition, thats fine; In the hopes of the youth, thats horrid.

Chris Brown, Ciarra, and Trey Songz are all the emerging leaders of the industry (if you wouldn't already consider them leading it now). With that, once they get to the level of preponderance as Jay-Z and Wayne, then they will have created a path for others to succeed in the industry. Those new artists will have to mimic these preponderant artists to get their start, then innovate what they have to sustain.

Here's my problem . With those thousands of newly incoming artists creating and innovating licentitious images, their constituants--which are mostly between the ages of 12-22,  will have hieghten sex drives. The positive shows that their will be less emphasis on the usage violence for those constituants to gain a high social status. However, the negative almost provides a polar affect. While the marketed violence created more crimes and higher death rates, this pervasion of licentiousness will create more babies in an environment that is not ready for larger populations.

Think about it. With the continuous financial fuck-ups, the oil in water problems, bomb attempts, borderline economy inflations and crazy ass people on the news right now, do you really think the world, nevertheless America can handle more population? I applaud Trey Songz for the bomb ass job he's done. He's created many wonderful nights for me. However, the arising competitors should try something newer. . . and safer...please =(. I wish for socially consious artists to run the industry. This way their influence will be used to dig these populations out of the plight that their leadership has placed them in.

Chris brown is growing up and getting older so topics he covered when he was 16 he cant really talk about now it just like with usher your topics are different from when you are yonger to when are older, even with videos. I dont think ciara is mimicing trey cause she did the sexy thing before him in her other songs and videos.

With Ciara, how much success did she have with that? I was once told that trying the same thing and expecting a different outcome was insanity. She has been missing for how long?--but ironically when the sexual atmosphere is set by Trey alone, she just so happens to pop up. You can't possibly think she is not smart enough to capitalize off this atmosphere (even is she did the sexy gig before Trey). I think she see's this as a chance to re-establish her self using the same strategy with heightened emphasis.

Chris Brown is doing "damage repair". He is also attempting to seize this atmosphere in hopes of rebuilding his tarnished image. I just think its a bit weird that he wouldn't try a different sexy approach versus the sudden sexy mix-tape promulgation. Ironically, Trey did the same thing when he "grew up". Chris is a dancer...not a sex talker. Maybe if tried something with dancing I could see it from your perspective.
